Where were you before joining Vision to Victory?
I was living in Denmark, feeling stuck across every area of my life: work, relationships, friendships, even the weather. I had tried everything I knew to get out of it, and nothing was moving. Then I had a job interview that didn't go well, and I just sat down and thought: life cannot be this. There's so much more. I just don't know how to get out of this situation.
What I didn't see yet was that I actually knew exactly what I wanted. I just wasn't allowing myself to want it. Living somewhere sunny, doing work that felt purposeful, being surrounded by people who energized me. It was all there. I had just written it off as impossible.
What made you decide to reach out?
I don't like being stuck for a long time. I do my best to get myself out of it, and if I can't do it alone, somebody else will. I remembered Maren from a few months earlier and reached out on Instagram. I said: I feel stuck, and I don't know how to move forward. Two days later we had a call. Two days after that, I was all in.
What were the most significant shifts you experienced?
The first call was a turning point. For the first time, I allowed myself to name what I actually wanted and realized the problem was never that I didn't know. It was that I didn't trust it. Once I made that decision, I really calmed down inside. It felt so aligned, so natural.
From there, things moved fast. Within a month, I handed in my notice, no new job lined up, for the first time in my life. Then I moved to Spain. Two things that, honestly, the version of me from a year ago would have never done.
The deeper shift was in how I saw myself. I reconnected with my resilience. I stopped absorbing other people's fears as my own. I started making decisions from alignment instead of from security. I was reminded that I am a courageous, resourceful person and that I will figure things out.
How are you feeling now about your life and work?
I'm calling from Valencia, my new home. Morning bootcamps on the beach watching the sunrise. Dancing in the evenings. Building my own business. I feel so grounded. I feel that this is my place. I can trust myself to create the life that I actually want.
Something I didn't expect: people around me have been saying they're inspired. Some are even considering making their own changes, because I showed them it's possible.
Why would you recommend Vision to Victory?
Reach out to Maren. And then just do it.
What made the difference for me was having someone who understood the full picture. Not just a cheerleader, but someone who had been through the process herself and knew what was a normal part of the journey. The approach was personalized. It wasn't a rigid course. It met me where I was.
Here's what I've learned: if you ask for help and you want to change something, why not go all in? What will you lose? Do it scared, but do it anyway.
